Fairlight plays an atmospheric metal, mixing technical feelings and melodies. Agressive vocals inspired by the death-metal style. The band was formed in the middle of 1995 by Bruno (lead guitar, vocals), Christophe (drums), and Stephane (bass guitar), after the split of thier former death atmospheric band Yuggoth (produced four-track demo tape and played several gigs, one with SUP). Then Cyril (rythm guitar) and Celine (keyboards) joined Fairlight in 1996 to structure and record the five tracks of Fairlight's first demo "Le Bal Des Eternels", essentially composed by Bruno. In 1998, Celine and Stephane left the band for professional reasons, but they were replaced by Constance and Romaric thanks to their musical experience, great personality, and cool behaviour. In the beginning of 2000, Fairlight hired Teddy of Electro-Shock, a French magazine, to be their manager. Their demo "Les Bal Des Eternels" was rereleased worldwide on Diamond Records.
